Maliyanga

Maliyanga is a memory painting inspired by ‘Burrima, at the beautiful Macquarie Marshes. Full of water at present, it bursts with bird, fish, animal and plant life. This local wetland is one of my favourite places, an ancient place sustaining Wailwan people for millennia, significant in European exploration of the area and a Nature Reserve listed under the Ramscar Convention. It is always an uplifting joy to visit.
Maliyanga is a multi media work made of acrylic paint and collage on paper on board. It is sealed, L framed and measures H530 x W770
x D60 mm.
