Lord Howe I Loved Thee (diptych)

Lord Howe Island is a fabulous place to visit, to draw
 and to paint. It is small and lush and intimate
and this memory painting became a metaphor
 for personal events in my life. 
The painting took some time to resolve and it was only when I came to terms with what it was really about, did it come together.
This pair of works are made of acrylic paint and impasto medium and are on deep base canvas. They measure H400 x W510 x  D35mm x 2.
